A quick team photo before the serious business begins. The teams and RKH Foundation want to give a big thank you to all our sponsors and supporters. You can see the latest updates on the rides on RKH Foundation's Twitter account.
Early morning wanderers in Leadenhall Market were surprised to see a crack team of cyclists assembled for a photo. On closer inspection, it became clear that it wasn’t Team Sky on its way to Yorkshire for the start of the tour, but a contingent of RKH Foundation cyclists bound for the airport and the beginning of the 800 mile RKH Foundation Charity Bike Ride.
We wish them the best of luck (particularly given the John O’ Groats weather forecast of heavy rain and strong headwinds). If you would like to show your support with a donation, you can do so at the RKH Foundation Virgin Money Giving page. Every penny will go to our two wonderful causes: Maggie’s Cancer Centres and the Hague School in Bethnal Green.
The cyclists will be leaving John O’Groats for the first leg of their journey tomorrow, so watch this space for the latest news on their progress,
A big thank you to specialist energy underwriter J H Blades for its very generous donation of $5,000 to the RKH Foundation. Excellent news to send off the cyclists as they begin their journey to Scotland for tomorrow’s Grand Depart.

Over £215,000 has been raised already, and every penny we raise makes our riders’ saddle sores and stiff legs even more worth it. Thank you for your support and generous donations!
We’re very pleased to announce that Insurance Day has signed on as the media partner for the RKH Foundation’s John O’Groats-to-London bike ride.
Their logo will appear on the front of the teams’ shirts and on the boards and banners in Leadenhall Market on the finishing event on Thursday 10th July.
We look forward to working with them!
